BACKGROUND

Hi, all cat lovers! The long journey to developing the first Catsanova Hunter toy began in May 2020 during COVID, when many of us adopted pets and I did adopt Casanova. Like many of you, I didn’t know much about cats, having had dogs all my life. This lack of knowledge created challenges in my relationship with Casanova, so I started learning more about cat behavior. I discovered that to build a bond with our cats, we need to engage with them through play and provide food in an interactive way.

As I learned more about cats, I wanted to share my experiences as a new cat parent. I started making videos, which you can find on TikTok @catsanovachannel and on YouTube under Catsanova Channel. My next idea was to create an interactive toy that also dispenses treats. After years of development, and with the help of my dear friend Natalia and input from my Colombian team members Alvaro and Rony, we proudly created the first multi-play interactive toy: the Catsanova Hunter.

TOY CHARACTERISTICS

The Catsanova Hunter is an interactive, multi-player cat toy designed to engage your feline friend by dispensing treats through the manual manipulation of its wand. Treats are placed in a small chamber attached to the wand, which is activated by a button on the handle. Once activated, the treats are released by gravity.

The toy includes a circular storage case crafted from pressed cardboard and topped with jute and rope. This case serves a dual purpose: it stores the toy and features two openings—one small and one larger and partially covered—that allow the toy to be maneuvered in and out of the case. Additionally, the rope at the top of the case functions as a cat scratcher, and the case can also be used to hide treats, encouraging your cat to hunt for them.

Handmade in Colombia, the Catsanova Hunter is an artisanal toy crafted with your cat’s safety in mind, using non-toxic materials and ensuring there are no sharp edges.
